LeBron James has been using this offseason to recover from a tedious NBA 2024-25 season. He has been traveling the globe alongside his wife and business partners aboard a luxury yacht. A recent adventure trip has turned speculations on his next destination.

The 40-year-old was traveling with his business partner Maverick Carter and Misko Raznatovic. For those who don’t know Raznatovic, he’s the agent of Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic. Their yacht outing in open waters quickly caught the attention of the global basketball community online.

Adding more fuel to the fire, Misko Raznatovic posted a photo with a cryptic caption on social media that read, “The summer of 2025 is the perfect time to make big plans for the fall of 2026!”

Jokic’s agent would have known exactly what he was unleashing with such a caption. The rumors are that LeBron James and Nikola Jokic will unite next season and that Misko Raznatovic will broker a deal. This has led fans to speculate that James may consider Denver as a future destination next season.

Summer Post May Reveal 2026 plans

The timeline from Misko Raznatovic’s cryptic message also makes sense, given that LeBron James’ contract with the Lakers will end after the upcoming season. The 40-year-old recently exercised his player option worth $52 million, making him one of the most expensive players in the league.

Nikola Jokic uniting with LeBron James would set off the Denver Nuggets for a deep playoffs run. James is reportedly desperate to add a fifth ring before his retirement. He may settle for a team-friendly contract that enables a move to a title-contending roster next summer.

Last season, the Denver Nuggets were eliminated by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Semifinals. The playoffs series went till game seven, where the Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led side provided a knockout punch to the Nuggets.
