Kevin Durant is the leading scorer in USA’s Olympic basketball history.Â
Los Angeles Lakers icon LeBron James agreed to the Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr calling Kevin Durant the ‘Greatest Men’s Olympic Player of All-Time’. James sent a one-word reaction to Kerr’s statement that came in Netflix’s latest release Court of Gold.
Notably, Durant created history when he won his fourth gold in Paris. With this, he became the first male athlete to win four Olympics gold medals in a team sport. Not only this, but the Phoenix Suns star is also the leading scorer in USA’s Olympic basketball history.
In the documentary which shows behind the scenes of the men’s basketball contest at the Paris Olympics, Kerr heaped praise on Durant. As he called him the greatest player in the marquee tournament, LeBron James agreed to it by dropping a simple one-word reaction.
The 40-year-old took to social media to share Kerr’s quote and added “Facts!!!!!!!!!!!”
Notably, Durant made his Olympics debut in 2012 in London, where he created history by breaking Team USA’s record with 156 points. He surpassed Spencer Haywood’s record of 145 set in 1968. Later in 2016, he won the co-USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year Award alongside Carmelo Anthony.
The 6’11” continued his Olympics excellence in Tokyo 2020, when he set a new U.S. Olympic record by averaging 20.7 points per game. It led him to being named 2021 USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year Award. In 2024, Durant, teamed up with James and Stephen Curry, to help the side win fifth consecutive gold. In the edition, he averaged 13.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

LeBron James’ 40-ball reignites the “GOAT” debate
LeBron James, who was declared available against the Nuggets, called out the Lakers’ schedule for the month of March. The fifth-seeded Western Conference side will lock horns with the Bucks on March 13 before they clash against the Nuggets on the very next day.
After a one-day break, they will be up against the Suns on March 16, and go against the Spurs one night later. In their next back-to-back set, the Lakers will lock horns with the Nuggets and the Bucks on March 19 and March 20, respectively.
James, who has been in action since missing the All-Star Game, took to Instagram to react to the schedule calling it insane. He wrote, “This is INSANE!!!!!”
Notably, the Lakers quickly got back in action after the conclusion of the 2025 All-Star Weekend. They locked horns with the Hornets in the first game. In their back-to-back game, they were up against the Trail Blazers before clashing against the Nuggets on February 22.
