Las Vegas Aces vs Minnesota Lynx WNBA Prediction- Spread & Other Bets- 08/02/2025

Shubham Singh

On Saturday, August 2, the Las Vegas Aces (14-13) will host the Minnesota Lynx (24-5) in a WNBA regular-season game. 2x champs Aces are tottering at the 7th spot in the WNBA rankings, whereas the Lynx have built a daylight as the #1 team.

The Aces acquired a much-needed 89-74 win in the game against the Los Angeles Sparks. A’ja Wilson had a riveting 34-point outing, and the Aces’ defense limited Sparks to a 4/24 shooting from the three-point line.

On the other hand, the Lynx beat the defending champs, New York Liberty, 100-93 in their latest triumph. WNBA leading scorer, Napheesa Collier, relished a 30-point masterpiece as the Lynx shot 15/31 from deep.

Can the league’s best Lynx dominate the fading Aces dynasty? Check the predictions related to player props, total, and spread here.

Las Vegas Aces vs Minnesota Lynx Total Over/Under Prediction- WNBA Best Bets

The scoring floodgates are opening after the All-Star Break. The Lynx have scored 90+ at a high clip. While they have allowed 90 or more in two straight games, Minnesota has mostly kept teams under 80.

On the other hand, Aces’ offense has been inconsistent compared to the Lynx. They have conceded 80 or more, mostly, but overall, their efforts have been a tad better. However, the Lynx will test them, and they will need to be on their A-game. Overall, I expect an “over” here.

Total: Over 167.5  for -110 at BetMGM

Las Vegas Aces vs Minnesota Lynx Player Props Predictions- WNBA Betting Picks

Napheesa Collier O 24.5 Points: Collier leads the WNBA with 23.8 PPG. She has scored 25 or more in three straight games. I expect her to continue the terrific rhythm and go “Over” here.

Jackie Young O 5.5 Assists: The Aces All-guard has been terrific as a playmaker lately. She is tallying 4.5 APG and has dished at least 5 in seven straight games. I expect her to dish out at least 6 helpers here.

Courtney Williams O 6.5 Assists: Lynx major playmaker, Williams has been their most reliable playmaker for the last few years. She is recording 6.4 APG and has delivered 7 or more helpers in three of the last four games.

Main pick: Napheesa Collier O 22.5 points for -125 at BetMGM

Las Vegas Aces vs Minnesota Lynx Spread Prediction

The Lynx will enter as the favorites here. They are on the cusp of building a dynasty, while the Aces are on the opposite end of the spectrum. But you never know when an All-Star vet can turn it around.

Overall, I see a big Lynx win on the heels of a strong performance by Collier. Minnesota is likely to cover the spread.

I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
