Las Vegas Aces vs Connecticut Sun WNBA Prediction- Spread & Other Bets- 08/09/2025

Shubham Singh

On Sunday, August 10, the Las Vegas Aces (17-14) will host the Connecticut Sun (5-24) in a WNBA regular-season match-up.

The Aces have climbed to the 6th ranking, whereas the Sun has held the worst record throughout the season.

Before the game, the Aces completed an impressive 90-86 win against the Seattle Storm as A’ja Wilson scooped up 29 points. Jackie Young plucked 26 points as the Aces made 10 out of 22 three-point shots.

On the other hand, the Sun lost by 91-102 against the LA Sparks as Marina Mabrey and Tina Charles each scored 19 apiece. The Sun had an excellent 13/29 from deep but conceded a 56% FG.

Can the Aces pile on further misery upon the Sun? Check the predictions related to player props, total, and spread here.

Las Vegas Aces vs Connecticut Sun Total Over/Under Prediction- WNBA Best Bets

A’ja Wilson is the primary driver of the Aces’ offense. She accounts for more than 1/3rd of Aces points on many junctures, which means even a slightly off night from her can cause fluctuations.

However, they look primed for 85+ points on most nights. The Sun is one of the most struggling offenses. They are mostly struggling to go past 80, even against moderate defensive efforts.

They are average defensively, limiting teams to around 80-85. Anyway, I believe this can be a low scorer.

Total: Under 167.5 for -110 at BetMGM

Las Vegas Aces vs Connecticut Sun Player Props Predictions- WNBA Betting Picks

A’ja Wilson O 22.5 Points: Wilson is one of the two best scorers in the league. She is tallying 21.8 PPG, and she has scored 27 or more in three of the five games.

Wilson can be up for a 22+ points effort.

Marina Mabrey O 15.5 Points: Streaky Mabrey has regained her rhythm after a lengthy injury break. She has averaged 16.25 PPG over the last four games, scoring 18-19 in three of them.

I expect her to score at least 16.

Tina Charles O 6.5 Rebounds: Charles is a brilliant rebounder. She has collected 5.9 RPG, hoarding 7-8 rebounds in three straight games.

I believe she will clear at least 7 boards here again.

Main pick: A’ja Wilson O 22.5 points at BetMGM

Las Vegas Aces vs Connecticut Sun Spread Prediction

The Aces are playing some hard-nosed ball lately. But they have faltered repeatedly this season after some strong play.

Las Vegas has the experience to turn its season. On the other hand, the Sun has been the worst team this season.

They are just not equipped to win even 10 games in total and lose by 15+ often. Thus, I’d expect Aces to cover the spread.

Spread/Money Line Pick:  Spread: Aces -12.5 for -115 at BetMGM
