Lamar Jackson Activates “Do-or-Die” Mode with Ravens, Eclipses Josh Allen’s Touchdown Stats despite Missing a Month!

Despite the win over Miami, the Baltimore Ravens still have their backs against the wall!

Heading into the Thursday Night Football (TNF) game against the Miami Dolphins last night, the Baltimore Ravens held a 2-5 record, needing a win to retain their chances of making the playoffs.

Knowing very well what the consequences of a loss would be, Baltimore came out and took care of business effectively, registering a 28-6 blowout win on the road. That win was truly a collective effort by several players on both sides of the ball, but it was quarterback Lamar Jackson who stood out significantly once again.

Lamar Jackson’s Approach for the Rest of the Season

At 2-5, with nearly half the season already over, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is treating this situation as a “Do-or-Die” one. He is aware of the fact that Baltimore can ill afford to slip up now, as another loss or two will seriously jeopardize the team’s chances of making the postseason.

“It’s do or die, you know, win or go home,” Jackson told the media after the game. “And usually, you know, we start off winning games and we never be behind, but right now we behind and we all got to step it up.”

The main issue with the Ravens’ current record has not been due to Jackson’s play, however. Baltimore’s problems have actually come on the defensive side of the ball, quite strange when the Ravens have been known to be a defensively sound team in the years past.

Jackson, having been forced to sit on the sidelines for the previous three games, also did not help. Baltimore went 1-2 in that period, when they were already 1-3 at the time Jackson suffered his hamstring injury. That said, the Ravens’ signal caller was playing at a high level even before his injury.

Lamar Jackson Still Ahead of Josh Allen in Touchdowns

Just to put things into a clearer context, Lamar Jackson is having a phenomenal year so far. Even after missing a month of action and 3 games in between, he is still ahead of the Bills’ quarterback, Josh Allen.

For example, if we compare the touchdown stats of both players, Allen has only 12 passing touchdowns in 7 games, whereas Jackson already has 14 despite playing two games less. Jackson has also thrown just 1 pick, while Allen has 4 on the season.

Even though Allen has a very decent 103.6 passer rating this season, Jackson is crushing it in that category as well with a passer rating of 136.7.

Overall, Jackson is putting the team on his back and leading from the front. Limiting turnovers, making the correct decisions, and completing a high percentage of his passes are all standout features of his games so far this season.

If he continues to play at the high level he has demonstrated thus far, there is little doubt the Ravens will make it back to the playoffs. All he needs is a little help from the others around him.
