Kevin Durant Trade: Houston Rockets Are Reportedly Ready to Offer Jalen Green and A Draft Pick for Suns’ Star

Where will Kevin Durant land this off season?

The rumors of Phoenix Star Kevin Durant’s trade are all over the internet. Several teams have shown interest in acquiring the services of the two-time NBA Champion, and Houston Rockets have remained an active name among them. According to the latest reports, the Rockets have offered an interesting package in order to be able to sign Durant. As per NBA insider Brett Siegel, they have offered Jalen Green and the No. 10 pick of the 2027 Draft to the Suns.

However, it seems that the Suns are not satisfied with the offer and want more in terms of players. Siegel reported, “Jalen Green and the 10th pick in this year’s draft present a clear opportunity for the Rockets to swing a deal, but the Suns have demanded more, sources said. Jabari Smith Jr., Tari Eason, and Reed Sheppard are among the young talents in Houston that Phoenix has expressed interest in. The Rockets have not been willing to part with any of the three to this point.”

It comes as a surprise that the Rockets are willing to include Jalen Green in the trade. Green finished as the top scorer for them in the recent past season, maintaining an average of 21.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. He is one of the key reasons the team finished second in the Western Conference with a 52-30 tally.

Minnesota Timberwolves Ready to Include Two All-Stars in Trade For Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant, who will turn 37 this year, has the Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets as his preferred trade destinations. However, the Minnesota Timberwolves have emerged as one of the biggest wildcards in these negotiations and have assets they can trade for Durant. As per latest developments, the Timberwolves are reportedly open to letting go of their All-Star talent to have the 15-time All-Star Suns’ power forward on the board.

As per Siegel, the Wolves would be open to ditch two frontcourt stars to get Durant alongside Anthony Edwards on the roster. He wrote, “Minnesota has made it clear that Jaden McDaniels is not going anywhere, which means the package would have to include either [three-time All-Star center] Rudy Gobert or [three-time All-Star power forward] Julius Randle.” He added, “The other assets league sources continue to speculate about regarding the Wolves’ package are Donte DiVincenzo, Rob Dillingham, and the 17th pick in the draft.”

It seems that the Timberwolves are ready to make big sacrifices to sign Durant and pair him with Anthony Edwards. Ant-Man, who finished the season with 27.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists, would also enjoy playing with the NBA’s one of the best scorers ever.
