Kansas City Chiefs Schedule for 2025 Season – Kansas City Chiefs Home Games, Chiefs Away Games, and Opponents for 2025 NFL Season

Devavrat Kulkarni

Kansas City Chiefs have a tough schedule in 2025

It’s been a nice run for the Kansas City Chiefs who have become somewhat of a dynasty in the NFL. Three Super Bowl wins and five Super Bowl appearances in the past seven seasons is not an easy feat to accomplish in this league. Going for the first-ever three-peat in the Super Bowl era, the Chiefs fell short at the final hurdle against a superior Philadelphia Eagles team.

But for what it’s worth, the Chiefs have been present in the big games throughout this run finding different ways to win. No matter the schedule, no matter the roster changes, this team has shown its ability to overcome adversity and to keep marching forward.

The schedule for the Chiefs will be released later, but for now, as the team gets ready to prepare for the season ahead, here is a look at their opponents for the 2025 season. This year Kansas City will have the luxury of 9 home games as they belong to the AFC.

Each year the NFL alternates between 9 home games for the AFC and the NFC. Starting with their division, the AFC West, the Chiefs will play against the Broncos, Raiders, and Chargers. The AFC West will play another division from the same conference and that will be the AFC South this year. The home games will be against the Colts and the Texans.

Kansas City will then play against one division from the NFC and that will be against the NFC East with home games against the Eagles and Commanders. The Chiefs will have to play three division-winning teams – 2 from the AFC and 1 from the NFC. Of those 3 games, they will play the Ravens and the Lions at home.

As for the Chiefs’ away games, we again start with their three divisional opponents, the Broncos, Raiders, and the Chargers. From the AFC South, the remaining two teams are the Jaguars and the Titans whereas from the NFC East, the away games will be against the Cowboys and the Giants. The only other remaining game will be a visit to Buffalo as they take on the AFC East division winners, Buffalo Bills.

Kansas City Chiefs Biggest Offseason Moves

The Kansas City Chiefs are making big roster moves this season with some very notable players leaving the team. Guard Joe Thuney was traded to the Chicago Bears, while safety Justin Reid joined the Saints. Defensive tackle Tershawn (Turk) Wharton also left to join the Panthers. Wharton was one of the more improved players on the team last year. Additionally, wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins joined the Baltimore Ravens after half a season in KC.

As for the key signings, the Chiefs have tried to solve the left tackle problem by signing former 49er Jaylon Moore to protect Mahomes’ blind side. Cornerback Kristian Fulton who played for the Chargers in 2024 has also been signed. Further, the Chiefs have resigned running back Kareem Hunt, and wide receivers Marquise Brown and Juju Smith-Schuster.

Kansas City Chiefs Draft Picks

The biggest need for the Chiefs heading into the 2025 season was the question around the left tackle position. While they added Moore in free agency, the Chiefs selected offensive tackle Josh Simmons in the first round with the hope that he could potentially take up the role as a backup and a future starter.

Kansas City then spent the next few picks shoring up their defense by selecting defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott, edge, Ashton Gillotte, cornerback Nohl Williams, and linebacker Jeffrey Bassa. On the offensive side they added wide receiver Jalen Royals and running back Brashard Smith.

I am a content writer for the NFL team, and joined The Playoffs after working with Sportskeeda and NFL Analysis as an NFL writer. After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
