Jimmy Butler is likely to leave the Miami Heat after spending six years, as per the report of ESPN’s Charania. The six-time All-Star has taken the Heat into two NBA finals, but he is willing to end the Florida journey next offseason.

Butler to opt out of Miami contract!

This is the crucial phase for the players in the NBA, as all the free agents who signed in the offseason are eligible to be traded from this Sunday. Team officials will also arrive at the G League Winter Showcase in Orlando next week. Trade rumours will now pick the heat, and during this phase, two players are in the line who are expecting a departure from their current club.

Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler and New Orleans Pelicans one-time All-Star Brandon Ingram will closely follow the progress. Moving to Jimmy, the 35-year-old is a classic postseason performer, and he guided his sides to reach playoffs 12 times out of 13, including two NBA finals.

Butler and the Miami Heat didn’t reach a final agreement on the extension of the $49 million contract with a $52 million player option for next season. As per reports, Heat are open to taking offers and setting a deal if both parties agree with the proposal.

Texax could be a new home for Butler!

Butler’s agent, Bernie Lee, has given a hint about Butler’s potential club if he leaves Miami. The 35-year-old is making a preference to move to Texax as the 1-time Olympic Gold Medalist is living in Houston. It means, the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks are the frontrunners in the race. As per sources, Butler will opt out of the current contract and become a free agent in the offseason.

NBA Hall of Famer Paul Pierce also added the Denver Nuggets to the list as a potential spot for Butler. “When you start talking about the business side of the game, when Jimmy Butler is left with one year left on his contract, he desires an extension which Pat Riley hasn’t given him yet, he’s looking to go somewhere else,” Pierce said during an appearance on FS1’s Speak.

Jimmy Butler’s agent has indicated a move to the Golden State Warriors, who are looking to add one more star player to join Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Warriors invested in Lauri Markkanen and Paul George as a free agent last offseason.

Considering the results of the last couple of weeks, the Warriors want to be more clear on their plans ahead of the deadline in February. Jonathan Kuminga is also set to become a restricted free agent in July. Rivals clubs will monitor him for his excellence at Golden State.

Steve Kerr reflected this during the last few games where his game time has been extended. He dropped a season-high 33 points against Huston last week. Green was also given a bench role for Kuminga to start at power forward last week. If Butler joins the Warriors, he can also target Championships in the final stage of his career.
