The Utah Jazz beat the Detroit Pistons on thursday (126-119), earning only their 6th win of the NBA regular season (6W-20L, 14th in western conference), in a physical game (49 cumulated free throws, 5 technical fouls) which saw guards Jordan Clarkson and Ron Holland II leave the game early for squaring up.
Following a lay up by Paul Reed in the third quarter of the game, Clarkson got intentionnally bumped by Detroit’s big man while running down the court. The ex-Philippines international guard immediately shoved Reed back before an altercation broke up with Detroit’s rookie Ron Holland II. Both players hopefully got quickly separated by teammates and refs, before being logically ejected of the game.
Apart from this incident, Utah’s sophomore Keyonte George, red hot in the Littlke Ceasars Arena (28 points in 33 minutes of action), also left the game prematurely. Arguing with a fan in the thirs period before trying to break into the stands to confront him, the Baylor alumni also got ejected by referees and could be suspended for Jazz’s next game in Brooklyn on saturday.
Although he left his teammates early, Keyonte George got time to offer the crowd one of the most dazzling dunls of the year so far.
