Jannik Sinner's hilarious shout out to his brother during the Wimbledon finals.
Jannik Sinner is the 2025 Wimbledon Mens champion. The 23-year-old is creating history after bringing in top performances in every championship. Sinner defeated Alcaraz in the Wimbledon Grand Finals to earn his redemption from the French Open. The Italian prodigy narrowly lost out the French Open final to Carlos Alcaraz.
Jannik Sinner’s family was there with him to witness his victory at the Wimbledon championship this year. Although, Sinner was extra grateful to his brother. Jannik Sinner gave cheeky shout out to his brother post-match, pointing out his brother’s love for Formula 1 racing. Many Formula 1 drivers like Sebastian Vettel, George Russell were present during the Wimbledon 2025 Finals this year. It was partly due to the fact that Formula 1 had wrapped up the British Grand Prix at Silverstone only a week prior to the finals.
Jannik Sinner is among the popular personalities in Formula 1 racing. Sinner is among the ambassadors of Formula 1 and openly shows love for the sport. He is also the favourite player for Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 team and many others in the paddock.
After winning the Wimbledon 2025 Championship, Sinner took to the media to talk about his brother.
“There’s no F1 race this weekend, that’s why he’s here.”

The Italian champion has openly discussed his brother absence during some of his matches due to Formula 1 races being hosted that weekend. It was a friendly banter between the two brothers. Something similar happened during the Italian Open championship in 2025. The matches coincidentally fell on the same weekend as the Imola Grand Prix.
Jannik Sinner was quick to point out his brother’s absence during the match due to the ongoing Imola GP. It seems that Formula 1 and its influence runs deep in the sinner family. The first Italian to win the Wimbledon championship may have to lend his brother’s audience to F1 many more times.
nhl I work as a Writer at The Playoffs specialising in NHL, Formula 1 and Motorsports. I got into online journalism a couple of years ago. I used to be an intern for a website managing their Formula 1 content and then I served an entire year as a contractual writer.
Read moreFor me, online journalism was not something I expected. I am a Mechanical Engineer aiming to join Formula 1. At the same time, I am a poet, writer and my university’s Literary Club Lead. One day the dots connected together and I realised I could use my writing skills to convey my passion for Motorsports.
The biggest aspects I love about my role are- Scuderia Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel. When I am not fawning over them I like to convey my opinions to the public, in a manner which helps them gain a new point of view. I love helping people explore new ideas about Motorsports and obviously get recognised as a writer all over the world.
Message to Readers: I promise you one day you’ll see me managing operations on track with a Formula 1 team ; )
