All eyes on Sinner and Alcaraz as the season's last Masters unfolds
The final Masters 1000 of the season, the ATP Rolex Paris Masters 2025, will take place from October 27 to November 2, setting the stage for one last surge of adrenaline before the ATP Finals. With Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, the world’s top two players, headlining the draw, the event marks a crucial prelude to Turin and the definitive selection of the ATP Finals field.

🎙️ “After Vienna I’ll play in Paris. The season is almost over, just three tournaments left — it’s time to give the final push.”

Sinner’s participation in the Paris Masters, in particular, draws attention after weeks of uncertainty. The Italian was expected to skip Paris following his retirement in Shanghai due to severe cramping against Tallon Griekspoor. This also forced a rethink of his schedule and a decision to withdraw from the Davis Cup Finals. Yet, his return to Paris signals both recovery and intent, a bid to close out a stellar season on a commanding note.
Meanwhile, Holger Rune remains sidelined after Achilles tendon surgery, Jack Draper has ended his season with a left arm injury, and Novak Djokovic has withdrawn without explanation, further tilting the spotlight toward Sinner and Alcaraz as clear frontrunners in Paris.
‘I hope we play a couple more times.’

The 2025 Paris Masters will feature a 56-player field with the top eight seeds receiving first-round byes, differing from most Masters events this season. With 16 seeds in total (usually 32 seeds in 1000-tier events, but Paris is an exception, and so was Monte Carlo), players starting from the second round must win five matches to lift the title, while unseeded entrants face a six-match path.
The main draw begins October 27, preceded by weekend qualifiers and the official draw ceremony on October 24. Both Sinner and Alcaraz are chasing their first Paris crown, adding a layer of intrigue to a potential rematch between the sport’s newest superstars.

Beyond the battles on court, Paris will decide the final ATP Finals berths, as calculators run hot and rankings shift with every match. The stakes, emotion, and narrative threads converge here, at a tournament that feels less like an ending and more like a prologue to the season’s defining duel.
