Prior to the NFL Scouting Combine, many fans, coachs, and scouts, were talking about how Jalen Milroe’s hand size could be a problem in the NFL. It was not his skills or motor that was concerning but his hands. In the NFL, even though there is no official rule, many teams prefer quarterbacks with big hands. The reason? It is widely believed that big hands are supposed to give QBs more grip on the ball, help them from fumbling the football, and just have a better overall game. However, that has been proven wrong by some players like Joe Burrow who despite having a smaller hand, has been dominating on the field.

Even though “having bigger hands means a better QB,” theory isn’t a proven fact, NFL teams and coaches continue to search for QBs with big hands. This was not going to help Jalen Milroe’s case at all, as it was determined, earlier, that Milroe has tiny hands for the NFL. However, that has suddenly changed and Milroe does not have small hands anymore.
Let us find out what changed for Milroe and how has he suddenly met the minimum hand-size requirements for a quarterback?

Jalen Milroe’s hand-size was measured at the Combine and it is now 9 3/8 inches, which is approximately a half-inch longer than his earlier measurement.
Previously, Milroe’s hands were measured at 8 3/4 inches at the Senior Bowl in Alabama, just 28 days ago. It seems like Milroe has not stopped growing and that is definitely a good news for Milroe as he now meets the threshold for NFL’s minimum hand size requirement, which is 9 inches. This means that more teams and coaches would be interested in the QB whereas earlier, Milroe’s hand size was a huge concern for various teams wanting to draft him.

While most reports are stating that Jalen Milroe’s hands grew. We think that Milroe’s hands may not have been measured properly at either the Senior Bowl in Alabama or the Combine in Indianapolis because it is highly unlikely that a hand can grow half an inch in 28 days. While hands can slightly increase in size due to muscle development from exercise, bone structure typically does not change in such a short timeframe.

mma I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
