Kuminga averaged 15.3 points and 4.6 rebounds in 47 regular-season games for the Warriors this season.
The Golden State Warriors will arrive for the final home-court matchup of the first-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets. The crucial 131-116 win gave Houston a potential chance to tie the series 3-3 on Friday. The pressure is back on the Warriors to hold their nerves and deny a winner-take-all game in Houston this weekend.
Meanwhile, the roster of the Warriors has been discussed a lot throughout the series, and Jonathan Kuminga’s name was there. The Golden State forward got a chance to play when Jimmy Butler was out of Game 3 due to a pelvic contusion. Kuminga has been in and out of the rotation for the Warriors. When Butler returned to the lineup, he was dropped to the bench.

As the Warriors gear up for the potential series-clinching playoff game, Kuminga’s status has been upgraded to available after being out in Game 5. The 22-year-old forward is off the injury report for Friday’s matchup. The Warriors will have a clean injury report for Game 6.
Kuminga averaged 15.3 points and 4.6 rebounds in 47 regular-season games for the Warriors this season. In two playoff games, he shot 19-for-7 from the floor and 5-for-2 from beyond the arc.
Meanwhile, Kuminga’s future in Golden State is uncertain. The Warriors insider Anthony Slater provided an update on his future on Wednesday.
“Joe Lacob was part of the Jonathan Kuminga draft and they still value Kuminga long-term,” Slater said. “They’re not handing him the ball because Jimmy Butler and Steph Curry are out there most of the time. They’d rather have guys out there that master the small stuff.”
