| Stephen Curry O 24.5 points | -132 | – |
| Pascal Siakam U 24.5 points | -125 | – |
| Total U 231.5 points | -110 | -110 |
Stephen Curry has been the Golden State Warriors’ offensive engine, averaging 27.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game while shooting 49.1% each from the field as well as beyond the arc. In the Warriors’ recent loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, he dropped 27 points, while shooting 40.0% from the three-point range. Considering that the Pacers have a depleted roster, posting over 25 points for Curry won’t be a big deal.
Pascal Siakam has been leading the Pacers in offense with an average of 24.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game. In the absence of Tyrese Haliburton and others, he shouldered the scoring load for his team. Though he could manage to score only 18 points against the Hawks, Siakam has had a 27-point game against the Mavericks. Considering how badly the Pacers are shorthanded, Siakam would push himself and would finish over 25 points.
The Pacers have the second lowest offensive rating at 104.9 in the ongoing season, and have scored 110 points or less in the last four games. The biggest reason for their low-scoring shows is the absence of key players including Haliburton, Nembhard, and more. Apart from this, their FG at 39.4% is the worst in the NBA along with its 31.2% 3PT, which is the second worst in the league. In addition, the Warriors’ defense would restrict them to a lower score, making U 231.5 points a safe bet.
The Indiana Pacers, after finishing as the finalists last season, were hoping for a similar blockbuster start to the new season. However, an injury-marred roster crushed their hopes, and currently they are one of the three teams that haven’t been able to register any victory thus far in the season. On the other hand, the Golden State Warriors got off to a decent start, and have registered four wins and two losses in their campaign.
The Warriors are shooting 47.4% from the field and 39.8% from the three-point range, presenting them as a threat for a shorthanded Indiana. They have a healthy core, but the Warriors’ 1-2 record on road has exposed their vulnerabilities in away games. However, considering the current form and lack of players among the Pacers, we can expect a lopsided win for the Warriors.
Predictions: Golden State Warriors to win.
As per the odds from FanDuel, the Dubs are highly likely to overpower the hosts.
