Indiana Fever Set New Standards As WNBA Sees Record Growth In 2025 Season Viewership Surge

Indiana Fever are WNBA’s biggest draw even without Caitlin Clark on the court

WNBA games in 2025 have broken records with consistent viewership growth and increased mainstream visibility. They have seen a rise in viewership, with the latest data suggesting a digit rise.

According to FOS, the Indiana Fever games are averaging 1.26 million viewers. This is an uptick of 7 percent from the 2024 season. More fans are watching the Fever in the WNBA than any other team.

Indiana Fever games remain top attractions both on and off the court, making them the WNBA’s most viewed team. This is despite Caitlin Clark missing half of their games this season due to consistent injuries and fitness issues.

With half the season done, the 23-year-old guard has already missed over 10 games due to injury. Though, this is a troubling stat for the team, but even without their star player, the franchise has seen an overall growth in viewership this season.

The Indiana Fever are currently placed at the 6th place in the points table with 15 wins and 11 losses. They have a record of .556 having won 6-4 from their last 10 games. As the playoffs race starts heating up, Caitlin Clark could be a game changer.

Networks Report year-on-year Growth

Non-Fever WNBA games have averaged 549,000 viewers this season, showing notable league-wide viewership growth. This is up from 37% from the previous season. Though, the Indiana Fever averages double the viewers. The introspection of Paige Bueckers has largely helped bring a newer audience to the WNBA this season.

ESPN has reported a 3 percent year-on-year viewership growth on its WNBA coverage. While CBS is up by 5 percent compared to the previous year stats. Ion network is also up by 4 percent from the previous year.

The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game posted the second-highest average viewership in league history to date. Only the previous year’s WNBA All-star Games were ahead.
