The Indiana Fever is trying to make a signing or two with the trade deadline approaching. They have one roster spot open and are firmly in playoff contention at the halfway stage.

ESPN’s Kevin Pelton has suggested that the Fever may look to add a third post behind Aliyah Boston and Natasha Howard. Myisha Hines-Allen is being looked upon as the perfect candidate to strengthen the backcourt roster depth.

Indiana may trade Damiris Dantas and a 2026 second-round pick to land Myisha Hines-Allen. With the Wings five games out of the eight seed, they will also look to make the trade work to better their chances for a playoff spot.

Myisha Hines-Allen started her WNBA career after getting picked by the Washington Mystics in the second round in the 2018 draft. The 29-year-old won the championship in 2019 and made the All-WNBA second team in 2020.

Following seven years in Washington, she was traded to the Minnesota Lynx during the 2024 season. During the offseason this year, she joined the Wings and could move once again if pieces fall into one place.

Fever Looks to Fortify Midseason Playoff Push

Indiana Fever’s offense has been inconsistent and unreliable for much of the current WNBA season. They have looked shaky without Caitlin Clark. The point guard has missed nearly half the season due to ongoing groin problems that continue to sideline her.

Bringing in another scorer gives Stephanie White more tactical flexibility and improved offensive depth. As Clark inches closer towards return, the Fever will also be stacked in the attack as the fight for the playoffs berth becomes intense in the East.

The Indiana Fever meanwhile will suit up against the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday. They are coming off a huge win against the Chicago Sky on the away court.
