Iga Swiatek vs Belinda Bencic Head-to-Head, Prediction, and Betting Odds for Wimbledon 2025 Semifinals

Devavrat Kulkarni

A first Wimbledon final in sight for Swiatek and Bencic, who will go through?

As we reach the business end of Wimbledon 2025, the semifinal lineup is all set. The second match on Centre Court today will showcase a classic showdown between the number 8 seed, Iga Swiatek, against Belinda Bencic for a place in the final.

Both players have battled their way through to the semis, playing elegant tennis along the way, and both have reached this stage of the tournament for the first time in their careers. A win here will bring them one step closer to lifting the prestigious Wimbledon crown.

Swiatek’s journey at SW19 this year has been dominated by straight-set wins in all but the second round. She has been dominant with her groundstrokes, hitting a good winners-to-unforced errors ratio. Her return game has also been quite effective, but her net play will need to improve slightly.

Bencic started off the tournament by dropping just 3 games in her opening round against Alycia Parks, but since then, she has been tested with a couple of three-set battles and a very tough quarterfinal against Mirra Andreeva, which she pulled off 7-6, 7-6.

For the most part, Bencic’s first serve and net play have been her strengths, along with her ability to return well. But, on the other side of the net is Swiatek, who has been playing the best grass-court tennis of her career.

Iga Swiatek vs Belinda Bencic Wimbledon 2025 Prediction

Bencic heads into this match with a lot of confidence following her straight-sets win over Andreeva in the previous round. That was a crucial test for her to see whether she could challenge the top players.

However, she now faces Swiatek, who holds a 3-1 lead in their head-to-head and has also defeated her at Wimbledon in 2023. Swiatek is playing even better grass-court tennis this year, and if she can continue to maintain her consistent level, she should make her first Wimbledon final.

Match Prediction: Swiatek in three sets

After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
