Moumita Dutta

Exploring Inter Milan’s Historic Success in the Coppa Italia and Their Rivalry With AC Milan.

Inter Milan and AC Milan are set to clash in the second leg of the Coppa Italia 2025 semi-final at San Siro. The tie is finely poised after a 1-1 draw in the first leg, leaving it all to be decided at San Siro. This match not only determines who advances to the final but also adds another chapter to their storied rivalry.

Inter are determined to continue their domestic dominance, while Milan seek to end their cup drought. The first leg showcased how close these two teams can be in the Derby della Madonnina, irrespective of their position in the Serie A table. Hakan Calhanoglu’s goal against his former club put Inter ahead before Milan leveled the contest.

In the return leg, Inter will look to capitalize on home advantage and their strong form across all competitions. Milan, however, have their eyes set on a return to glory and European qualification. With a disappointing run in the domestic league, winning this trophy is Milan’s best way to Champions League qualification. However, only one side will book their place in the Coppa Italia 2025 final.
