LeBron James Doping Rumor Explodes
LeBron James, a dominant figure in NBA history, now finds his legacy questioned by a fellow pro. He has achieved almost everything that needs to be. However, a former NBA player has questioned the legacy after suggesting that James used substances for performing enhancement.
Jeff Teague sparked outrage during a podcast, accusing LeBron James of using performance-enhancing drugs. He revealed that the now Lakers’ icon used drugs during his Miami Heat days. The guard also pinpointed the timeline from when the doping incident could have occurred.
Jeff Teague said, “Miami Heat Bron, he was on steroids, bro. They started testing for HGH, and he had to sit out. He said his back was hurting, and he sat out 3 weeks, then came back skinny.”

Teague accused LeBron of doping during his Heat days. However, the NBA mandated the HGH tests during the 2015-16 season. So the timeline of the claim is not matching the official records. Secondly, this was two years after the NBA legend left the Miami Heat and was with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Lakers star’s Miami Heat run also ended during the 2013-14 season. And there’s no documentation of a three-week leave. However, LeBron James did miss a similar stretch during the 2014-15 campaign with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The description of James coming back leaner also checks out after that break.
Jeff Teague’s explosive claim sent shockwaves, only for him to reverse it a few hours later. The former NBA player turned back on his initial comments. He gave a clarification that his story on LeBron James wasn’t real.
Teague posted, “Y’all weird I was joking about [LeBron] he was just that dominant chill.” Parts of Jeff Teague’s story don’t match facts, but overlaps spark wild theories among confused NBA fans.
