The Golden State Warriors are one of the most successful teams in the NBA. Founded in 1946 in Philadelphia, the Warriors, or the Dubs, have been a regular name in terms of the playoff appearances. A home to superstars like Wilt Chamberlain, Jamaal Wilkes, Stephen Curry and more, the Warriors hold numerous NBA records. These records include the most wins in a season, best regular season and so much more.
Apart from that, the Warriors have a total of seven championships and they trail the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers most championships and Finals appearances. In addition, they have seven Conference titles as well as 12 Division titles.
In the 2024-25 season, they made it to the playoffs via the play-in tournament and settled for the seventh spot on the standings. In their first playoff series, they were up against the Houston Rockets, whom they took down 4-3 in a hard-fought series. In the Western Conference semifinals, they clashed against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Golden State Warriors have played a total of 79 seasons in the NBA so far. Out of those seasons, they have made the postseason 38 times. The Warriors’ first playoff appearance came in the 1946-47 season, when they qualified as the 2nd seed in the Eastern Divisions on the back of a 35-25 season.
It turned out to be a smooth journey for the Warriors and they ended up winning their first NBA Championship. In the final, they locked horns with the Chicago Stags 4-1.

The Dubs have made it to the playoffs 38 times in their 79 seasons in the NBA. In those seasons, they played 78 playoff series, and ended up winning 48 and losing 30 of them. The record has kept them above .500 with a winning 61.5 winning percentage.
