The Los Angeles Lakers signed Doncic in exchange for Anthony Davis and Max Christie.

The NBA fraternity is still trying to process the fact that Luka Doncic is no longer a Maverick! Fans and pundits were left shocked when it was announced that the Los Angeles Lakers signed Doncic in exchange for Anthony Davis and Max Christie.

Since then, it has been experts and players expressing their thoughts on the blockbuster deal. While many were left in disbelief, Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo shared his take and revealed why the deal is nothing but a “dream come true” for him.

Antetokounmpo talked to the media after the Bucks’ big 132-119 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, and it is clear that he has a different outlook at things. Not only this, but the 30-year-old also hilariously revealed how the deal is a dream that came true.

“Now that a European will be, I believe, the face of the Lakers, this is something new for Europe. It’s never happened before,” said The Greek Freak.

Giannis said that he wants to see all the European athletes in the league to join big teams.

“You know what I want. I want Jokic to the Knicks. I want all the Europeans to go to all the big markets to see something incredible. This is what I want. This is my dream,” added Antetokounmpo who finished with 30 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists against the Grizzlies.

Why Giannis Antetokounmpo did not play against the Thunder?

On Monday night, the Milwaukee Bucks recorded their fourth straight defeat as they went down to the Oklahoma City Thunder in a lopsided 125-96 match. The Bucks were without their star Giannis as according to the injury report, he is dealing with tendinopathy in the patella of his right knee.

Notably, the two-time MVP has been dealing with the issue all through the season but didn’t miss many games. The Thunder clash was only the seventh match the 30-year-old had missed this season.

Antetokounmpo is currently averaging at 31.8 points, 12.2 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game this season.
