36-year-old Stephen Curry will be entering his 16th NBA season.
Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry has been one of the icons of the NBA alongside LeBron James. The star guard has delivered many memorable performances for the Warriors over the decade, which is one of the reasons he was voted as the most clutch player by NBA GMs recently.
While Warriors fans want to see Curry drop his bulls-eye three-pointers for another decade, the four-time NBA champion is aware that he hasn’t got many years left in the NBA.
The 36-year-old, who will be entering his 16th NBA season, gave his fans a deadly reminder that his iconic career will eventually come to an end in a few years.
While talking to reporters after the Warriors’ win over the Sacramento Kings in preseason game, Curry said that he wants to chase for another title with his teammates and enjoy as “the ball is going to stop bouncing at some point.”
“The season is fine like you know, compete with my guys, trying to chase another championship. You know that the ball is going to stop bouncing at some point,” Curry said.
The ten-time NBA All-Star revealed that he missed playing basketball in the offseason and just can’t wait to go back on court and have fun.
“I love being out there on the floor. You miss this over the summer. When you’re back out here, looking forward to that 82 game schedule, you’re gonna have just so much fun, trying to figure out what this team needs to do to be successful.”
The statement from Curry sparked a wave of emotional responses from his fans. Check out few of the reactions.
Man I'm getting tired of being reminded that these mfs are getting old… Like how am I supposed to appreciate their greatness even more if I'm worrying about when they retire?

The Warriors put on another dominant display as they beat the Sacramento Kings 122-112 in their second preseason game on Wednesday. Buddy Hield was the star as he put on a shooting masterclass, scoring a game-high 22. Meanwhile, Curry scored 13 points during his 16-minute stay on the court. The duo combined for 16 points in the first quarter, which also included a 4-for-4 from behind the arc.
