Buddy Hield and the Warriors went vintage mode against the Kings
The Golden State Warriors and Buddy Hield displayed an impressive shooting spree from beyond the arc, securing a 122-112 preseason victory over the Sacramento Kings.
Newcomer Buddy Hield led the way, scoring 22 points in just 19 minutes on a near-flawless 6-of-7 shooting from three-point range.
In a remarkable show of long-range prowess, the Warriors made 28 three-pointers, nearly setting a new franchise record for total three-point shots made in a game. They sank 15 of their 27 attempts in the first half alone, helping them establish an early lead.
Hield, known for his deep shooting accuracy, didn’t disappoint, hitting five consecutive threes and energizing the Warriors’ offense. Other key contributors included Jonathan Kuminga (4-of-7 from deep) and De’Anthony Melton, who added four triples to his 16-point contribution.
Facing his former team, Buddy Hield proved his value as a reliable perimeter shooter.
His shooting efficiency stretched the Kings’ defense, creating spacing for his teammates and contributing to Golden State’s offensive rhythm.
While Hield’s role as a sharpshooter complements Stephen Curry, he brings an additional threat that can draw defenders and create more offensive opportunities for the team.
This performance not only solidifies Hield’s role but also demonstrates the team’s long-range depth following Klay Thompson’s departure .
Buddy's got that range.

The Warriors’ three-point efficiency was a collaborative effort, with Melton, Kuminga, and Curry adding firepower from the perimeter.
Curry contributed three triples in just 16 minutes, while Draymond Green sank two of his own.
The Golden State Warriors are heading home for their pre-season home opener next friday (11) at 7 PM ET against the Sacramento Kings.
