Everton vs. Manchester City Premier League – Injury News, Match Preview and Predicted Line-Ups

Abhinav Goel

Manchester City will be without several key players for their trip to Goodison Park.

Manchester City will aim to solidify their place in the top five when they travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton on Saturday afternoon. Currently sitting fifth in the table with 55 points, Pep Guardiola’s side are pushing hard to maintain their Champions League qualification hopes. Everton, meanwhile, are 13th in the table.

The Toffees will look to frustrate the visitors and continue their good run of form. While Everton have shown fight in recent weeks, facing a City side desperate to close the gap on the top four presents a daunting task. City will be eager to avoid another slip-up after being held to a 1-1 draw by the Toffees when the sides met at the Etihad back in December.

Everton Injury News

Everton head into Saturday’s clash with Manchester City without any new injury setbacks. However, Orel Mangala, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and Jesper Lindstrom all remain sidelined. Following their morale-boosting 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest last weekend, Sean Dyche may opt to stick with the same starting XI.

Manchester City Injury News

Manchester City will be without several key players for their trip to Goodison Park. Ederson was forced off during last week’s 5-2 win over Crystal Palace. As a result, Stefan Ortega is likely to start in goal against Everton.

Phil Foden will be assessed ahead of kickoff, while Pep Guardiola is confirmed to be without Rodri, Nathan Ake, Erling Haaland, John Stones, and Manuel Akanji. Kevin De Bruyne impressed in a more advanced role last weekend and could once again lead the line. Guardiola will not make too many changes to last week’s team as City look to maintain their rhythm.

Manchester City Predicted Line-Up

Ortega; Nunes, Dias, Gvardiol, O’Reilly; Gonzalez, Gundogan, Bernardo; Savinho, Marmoush, De Bruyne
