Egor Demin’s unique path to NBA spotlight
Egor Demin is a rising name at the 2025 NBA Draft, he’s seen as one of the most promising international prospects from Russia in recent memory. He is one of the very few names from the Russian basketball world to make their way into the NBA.
The guard has had experiences in European competitions after playing for Real Madrid. He featured there for the Cadet A team, junior A team, and Real Madrid B in Spain’s Liga EBA. In 2024, he became BYU’s first ever five-star recruit, leaving a lasting impact.
Egor Demin is undoubtedly worth the lottery pick.

Fits a very modern & unique mold we are seeing more of in the NBA. Size of a forward, vision & fluidity of a 1 guard. If the scoring & shooting take big strides he could be AWESOME in the NBA📈 pic.twitter.com/241RJLNQ4s
