Dusan Vlahovic Makes Manchester United Transfer Decision Amid Juventus Exit Talks

Ritam Dey

Dusan Vlahovic is reportedly edging closer to leaving Juventus, with growing speculation that the Serbian striker could terminate his contract early and leave on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old forward, who arrived in Turin from Fiorentina in 2022 for over £72 million, has endured a mixed spell with the Bianconeri despite scoring 58 goals in 145 appearances.

Manchester United, currently undergoing a major attacking overhaul under Ruben Amorim, have been closely linked with Vlahovic. Amorim has made it clear that several forwards, including Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Jadon Sancho, are free to leave. In response, United are searching for new options up front and see Vlahovic as a potential bargain addition—especially if he becomes a free agent.

Amorim’s Attacking Rebuild Opens Door for Vlahovic

After their worst-ever Premier League finish, United have already secured Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million and are pursuing Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo. However, a proven No.9 remains top priority, with Amorim unimpressed by last season’s returns from Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.

Vlahovic, despite not fully meeting expectations in Turin, remains a prolific scorer and could thrive in a new setup. With Juventus reportedly ready to cut ties early to relieve wage pressure, United could seize a cost-effective solution to a major problem—provided the player is willing.

AC Milan Leads the Race as Vlahovic Eyes Familiar Territory

While United are keen, AC Milan may have the edge in the race for Vlahovic. The Serbian striker is said to prefer a reunion with Massimiliano Allegri, who recently returned to manage the Rossoneri. Reports suggest Vlahovic would favour a move to San Siro over Old Trafford due to familiarity and the promise of Champions League football.

Former Juventus and Serbia star Darko Kovacevic believes both Milan and United would be good destinations. Still, Vlahovic’s preference might force United to explore other striking options before the window closes.
