Dodgers updated bullpen after signing Tanner Scott in $72 million deal

The Dodgers have been on a signing spree this offseason.

It’s been another busy offseason for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and they are not slowing down anytime soon. After winning the World Series in October, the Dodgers are once again loading up on talent for the upcoming season, and they now have another big piece to their already star-stacked roster.

On Sunday, the Dodgers agreed to terms with lefty reliever Tanner Scott, signing him to a 4-year, $72 million deal. The contract includes a $20 million signing bonus and $21 million in deferred salary.

Scott, who was traded from the Miami Marlins to the San Diego Padres in July, recorded an impressive 1.75 ERA last season and made his first career All-Star Game. His dominance on the mound was a key factor in the Padres’ push to the National League Division Series (NLDS), where they ultimately fell to the Dodgers in five games.
