Detroit Pistons vs Chicago Bulls Preview

The Pistons have done well overall

The Pistons come into this contest after a 15-point win against the Dallas Mavericks as Cade Cunningham erupted for 40 points. This win broke a three-game losing streak, and overall the Pistons have done well with a 10-6 record in January. Cade Cunningham has become one of the best scorers in the league this season and has received terrific backcourt support from Jaden Ivey(Currently injured), Tim Hardaway Jr., and Malik Beasley. Meanwhile, center Jalen Duren is one of the best rebounders and hustle players, whereas Tobias Harris has fit well with him in the frontcourt. Overall, the Pistons have found something special this season but will need to elevate their current level on the back of Cunningham.

The Bulls are going nowhere again

The Bulls enter the affair after a 16-point win against the Toronto Raptors as Coby White put up 25 points. They have won two out of their last three games but they have been highly inconsistent overall. The Bulls have a 6-10 record in January which has put them at the risk of losing their Play-in tournament spot. Their offense has gone down a bit compared to previous months(114.3 points per game in contrast to the season’s output of 116.5 PPG). Zach LaVine is having another stellar campaign but his name is figuring in trade rumors like the last few seasons. The Bulls may blow it up soon and build through draft capital.

Detroit Pistons vs Chicago Bulls– Final Prediction and Additional Information

The Bulls have been inconsistent these days, especially on the defensive end. They have had some strong defensive performances at the perimeter but their paint defense hasn’t been up to the mark. Pistons’ guard Cade Cunningham is an expert at both the outside and inside game, thus, he can generate a lot of quality open looks against this defense. He is on a tear and can explode for another 35+ points performance here. This can be a high-scoring game in the north of 230 points but the Pistons’ defense may shine here to contain the Bulls below 110, which means they can end up with a big win.

Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
