This will be a back-to-back affair for the Pistons after they play the Denver Nuggets on the previous night. They will march into the Nuggets tussle on an eight-game winning streak. While six of these wins were against struggling teams, the wins against the LA Clippers and Boston Celtics have made people believe in them. They put up 124.1 points per game(3rd) in February on an excellent 50.2% clip(2nd). Detroit’s move to bring Tobias Harris, Malik Beasley, and Tim Hardaway Jr. in the offseason has helped them immensely, but the biggest factor has been Cade Cunningham’s breakout season. Meanwhile, Ausar Thompson and Jalen Duren have brought much-needed hustle to the Detroit hoops.

They were the best unit in Feb, conceding just 103.4 PPG, however, their offense hasn’t been in the shape. They scored just 105.2 PPG in February, shooting 44% from the field(3rd worst). Overall, their defense has helped them return to the race for the play-in tournament, and the Chicago Bulls’ downward trajectory can open up an opportunity to land an unlikely berth.

The Pistons have an excellent offense, and they crossed the 125-point mark eight times in February. Meanwhile, they have also been brilliant on the defensive end, restricting teams under 110 in six instances. On the other hand, the Nets have been a terrific defensive team, conceding fewer than 100 points recently. However, both teams will enter a back-to-back, making it difficult to judge how both teams will perform here.

Overall, Detroit will be the favorite here to notch a big win despite a 15-point loss to the Denver Nuggets in the previous game because Nets will hit the road after a 19-point loss against the Portland Trail Blazers.
