Denver Nuggets vs Orlando Magic Preview

The Nuggets have a lot of promise

The Nuggets will come into this game after playing against the New Orleans Pelicans on the previous night. Before that, they defeated the Pelicans by 12 points as Michael Porter Jr. erupted for 36 points. This was their third straight win, erasing the hurt of a three-game losing streak just before that. They have been terrific since the second week of January as Jamal Murray improved his play while the duo of Russell Westbrook and Nikola Jokic found its spark. The Magic have a bunch of spot-up shooters and shot-creators, and with Jokic as floor operator, they have been able to build one of the best offenses in the league.

The Magic are bruised and battered

The Magic will enter this affair after playing against the Sacramento Kings on previous night. Before that, they faced a five-point loss against the Golden State Warriors despite a 26-point performance by Anthony Black. This was their fourth loss in a row, having already suffered a five-game losing streak in January. They haven’t won two in a row since late December, indicating their woes. The team has been hit with injury bug and while earlier, they were able to keep their balance, the absence of Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs even after Paolo Banchero’s return derailed their season. This was a huge hit for a squad that was steadily becoming a powerhouse.

Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
