Gulshan Sharma

Here, we break down the injury report for both teams ahead of the crucial matchup in Denver.

The playoffs race is heating up as the Denver Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies will lock horns in a highly anticipated clash of the Western Conference on Friday. The Grizzlies are tied with the Warriors and the Timberwolves for the 6th spot while the Nuggets are tied with the Clippers for the fourth spot. This game will be crucial for both teams.

A 125-141 loss to Minnesota put Memphis out of the top-6 race but they have a chance to turn the table in the last two games. On the flip side, the Nuggets can still finish fourth in the West if they win their next two games. Both teams fired their coaches ahead of the playoffs and the drama in the locker room can shake their momentum.

Denver Nuggets Injuries

  • Jamal Murray – Doubtful
  • DaRon Holmes II – Out

Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray is listed as doubtful against the Grizzlies on Friday. Murray has missed six straight games with right hamstring inflammation but he would “hopefully” be ready for the playoffs. He might return to the lineup on Friday but on the minute restriction.

Apart from Murray, there is no extra injury concern on Denver. DaRon Holmes is already sidelined due to a season-ending injury.

Memphis Grizzlies injuries

  • Zyon Pullin – Questionable
  • Jaylen Wells – Out
  • Brandon Clarke – Out

With two more games to play, the Memphis Grizzlies will have the same roaster who went 3-1 under the new manager. The Grizzlies have listed three players on the injury report. Zyon Pullin is listed as questionable due to knee injury which ruled him out against the Timberwolves. He will be on day-to-day on Friday’s contest.

Jaylen Wells, who was taken off the court on a stretcher against the Hornets on Tuesday, will remain out. Brandon Clarke is already out for the remainder of the season due to a right knee injury.
