On 02/22, Friday, the Denver Nuggets (37-19) will host the Los Angeles Lakers(33-21) in a Western Conference Regular Season match-up. The Nuggets have sprung up to the second spot in the Western Conference whereas the Lakers are in the fifth spot. Will the Lakers have a resounding response to their biggest kryptonite? Know about the preview, total predictions, and player props here.
Nuggets: Up, up, & up
The Nuggets come into this game after a 14-point win against the Charlotte Hornets as Jamal Murray erupted for 34 points. They are now on a 9-game winning streak and have won 18 out of their last 24 games. During their 9-game winning streak, they have scored a league-high 128.8 points per game, committing just 12.6 turnovers per game in the period(7th).
Expected Starting Lineup
PG: Jamal Murray | SG: Christian Braun | SF: Michael Porter Jr. | PF: Aaron Gordon | C: Nikola Jokic
Injuries: Vlatko Cancar, Peyton Watson, and DaRon Holmes II are OUT.
Lakers: Doing well but need more
The Lakers will come into this game after an 8-point win againstthe Portland Trail Blazers as ageless LeBron James stamped home 40 points. It helped break a two-game losing streak and the team has won 11 of their last 14 games. During that period, they have scored 117.9 PPG(9th) while giving up just 106.9 PPG(3rd). It has been their best two-way performance throughout the season.
Expected Starting Lineup
PG: Luka Doncic | SG: Austin Reaves | SF: LeBron James | PF: Rui Hachimura | C: Jaxson Hayes
Injuries: Luka Doncic and Jarred Vanderbilt are Game-Time Decisions. Maxi Kleber is OUT.
Both the teams have regularly gone past the 120-point mark lately. Meanwhile, the Lakers’ defense has done slightly better than the Nuggets’ defense, limiting teams under 110 points consistently. However, I believe the Nuggets will cruise past 120 whereas the Lakers will also at least put up 115.
Projected Predictions:

Jamal Murray to score at least 25 points: The Nuggets guard has scored at least 30 points in three of the last four games. He loves balling against the Lakers and can pull off a similar performance here.
Christian Braun to score at least 16 points- Braun has scored 19.9 points per game in February. He can tally over 18 here.
LeBron James to commit at least 4 turnovers: LBJ has 3.9 TOPG this season and coughed the ball up a whopping 11 times in the win against the Trail Blazers.
Austin Reaves to put up at least 24 points: Reaves is averaging 24 PPG this month. He can go past that mark here.
No team has quashed the Lakers’ dreams more than the Nuggets in recent history. The Nikola Jokic-led squad is in great spirits and on their home floor against an improved but vulnerable Lakers squad. Thus, I favor the Nuggets to win by at least 5 points here and may even take their winning margin past 10 points.
Projected Spread: Nuggets -8.5 for at BetMGM
