Rationale and Analysis

Despite Jayden Daniels being in and out of the lineup with injuries this season and his drop off in terms of passing efficiency, he has had a very clean stretch of games. Daniels has thrown only one interception so far this season, and the Cowboys’ 32nd ranked defense makes us believe that Daniels will continue having a clean stretch of games.

The Commanders may try to use their run game (ranked 2nd in rushing offense) to exploit the Cowboys’ 29th ranked run defense, making them less reliant on Daniels’ arm.

Javonte Williams is having a great scoring season so far for the Cowboys. He’s scored in 4/6 games so far, and is up to 5 touchdowns this season. The Cowboys ranked 15th in rushing offense and looking at the Commanders’ 13th ranked scoring defense and 20th ranked rushing defense, Williams should be able to get a touchdown in this game.

We expect this game to be a nail biter, with both teams have an equal chance to beat the other. However, we expect the Washington Commanders to bear the Cowboys, and the reason is their reasonable defense. The Cowboys are excellent offensively, but have not been able to play any kind of defense, which has resulted in three losses so far. The Commanders, while 26th in defense, are still a better defensive team than the Cowboys which should help them secure the win.

Expect this game to be a high scoring game with the Commanders winning a close one.
