The Fever were welcomed with a hostile crowd, as they have had a history with the Connecticut Sun. In their previous outing, a lot of aggressive shoving, pushing had taken place. Techs, and ejections, were flying around the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

However, since then, both the teams have had a different trajectory. Connecticut Sun lost Marina Mabrey, a key conspirator against the overly aggressive behavior against Caitlin Clark. The Suns have gone down and remain at the bottom of the WNBA standings.

The temperature of the Connecticut Sun vs. Indiana Fever game was high from the get-go. Both teams ended their first quarter on a high. Fever outsmarted the hosts by 29-28. While the story remained the same in the second quarter as the visitors took a 15-14 lead.

They had to move the Indiana Fever vs Connecticut Sun game to Boston because they needed a bigger arena.

Fans at the TD were quite impressed with their side’s efforts. After all, the Connecticut Sun were trailing their rivals by just two points going into the half-time. This paved the way for one of the most closely fought games in the WNBA this season.

Fever Clinch Late Victory

The level of grit and patience remained the same between the Indiana Fever and the Connecticut Sun. Both teams lowered the temper in the third quarter and settled for an 18 all score.

In the fourth quarter, the Indiana Fever showed their talent depth and went all-in. The Connecticut Sun were caught off guard with the Caitlin Clark led side making some clutch buckets. They registered a 23-17 4th quarter score, eventually winning the game by 85-77.

Kelsey Mitchell scored 20 points, Natasha Howard 18 points, Caitlin Clark scored 14 while Aliyah Boston and Sophie Cunningham settled for 11 each. It was a coordinated effort from the Fever side that led to the crucial victory.

While for the Connecticut Sun, Tina Charles led the scoresheet with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Leila Lacan wasn’t too behind with 19 points.
