Connecticut Sun vs Chicago Sky WNBA Predictions, Spread, Bets & Player Props- 06/15/2025

Shubham Singh

On Sunday, 06/15, the Connecticut Sun (2-7) will host the Chicago Sky (2-7) in a WNBA regular-season matchup. The Sun is in the eleventh position, whereas the Sky is also right behind in the 12th spot.

Who will prevail in the battle between two of the worst teams in the league? Check the predictions related to player props, total, and spread here.

Where to Watch Connecticut Sun vs Chicago Sky

  • Time: 12:00 PM (ET)
  • Venue: Mohegan Sun Arena (Montville, Connecticut)
  • Where to watch: This game can be viewed on the WNBA League Pass.

Connecticut Sun vs Chicago Sky Lineups, Sneak Peek

Connecticut Sun: Struggling as expected

The Sun will enter the game after a disappointing 37-point loss against the Washington Mystics, despite a 17-point outing by Tina Charles. Connecticut shot below 40% while allowing Mystics to shoot 57% from the field. They were also massively rebounded with a 22-42 disadvantage on the boards.

The Sun had won two of the three games before that after starting with a six-game losing streak. It was their fifth loss by 20+ points. The lack of depth suggested such a trajectory, though. Except for Marina Mabrey and Tina Charles, the team lacks a viable offensive option.

This kind of performance was always on the cards, but it’s still painful to watch nonetheless. The team is likely headed to the lottery and will hope they find a franchise face during the 2026 draft.

Chicago Sky: Doing way worse than projected

The Sky will enter the game after yet another harrowing 70-88 loss against the Atlanta Dream despite a 15-point outing by center Kamilla Cardoso. Angel Reese had a decent 12-point, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists night while Ariel Atkins had 12 points.

However, the team’s lack of a strong first scoring option once again extinguished their chances of a win. The Sky has now lost three in a row. Their only two wins came against the league’s worst Dallas Wings(1-10). It sums up their harrowing season.

They are shooting just 40.2% and committing most turnovers per game(17.8). Apart from that, they give up most threes, 10.8/game, and allow teams to shoot 46.9(3rd worst). Yikes. The Sky were a much better last season on both ends with Chennedy Carter as their lead guard.

Sky Expected Starting Lineup

SG: Ariel Atkins | SG: Kia Nurse  | SG/SF: Rebecca Allen| PF/C: Angel Reese | C: Kamilla Cardoso

Key bench players: PG: Rachel Banham, C: Elizabeth Williams, PF: Michaela Onyenwera.

Injuries/Updates: Courtney Vandersloot is OUT for the season. Moriah Jefferson’s STATUS is UNCLEAR.

Sun Expected Starting Lineup

SG: Saniya Rivers | SG: Marina Mabrey | SG: Bria Hartley | PF: Olivia Nelson-Ododa | C: Tina Charles

Key bench players: PG: Jacy Sheldon, PF: Aneesah Morrow, SG: Jaclyn Brown, SF: Haley Peters

Injuries/Updates: Lindsay Allen is DOUBTFUL. Olivia Nelson-Ododa is a Game-Time Decision.

Connecticut Sun vs Chicago Sky Total Over/Under Prediction- WNBA Best Bets

Neither the Sun nor the Sky is a strong offensive team. But at the same time, they are also weak defensive teams. They have struggled to score 80 or so recently while giving up 90+ more often than they’d like. It makes for a confusing scenario.

However, I see a low-scoring grindout as both teams lack viable scoring options.

Total: Under 156.5 for -105 at BetMGM

Connecticut Sun vs Chicago Sky Player Props Predictions- WNBA Betting Picks

Angel Reese O 12.5 rebounds: Reese is averaging 11.8 rebounds a game, but her numbers are down lately. She has collected 9 rebounds in three of the last five games. I see her crossing the 12-rebound mark to continue her superb board work.

Marina Mabrey O 18.5 points: Mabrey is a typical streak shooter, who is averaging 17.1 PPG. She can score 25+ one night and then score below 13 or so the next game. I see her scoring at least 19 this time around.

Kamilla Cardoso O 11.5 points: The former NCAA champ has averaged 11 PPG but has had peaks and valleys. She had three straight games below 10 points before a 15-point outing last game. I believe she will score at least 12 here.

Main pick: Points: Angel Reese Over 12.5 rebounds at BetMGM

Connecticut Sun vs Chicago Sky Spread Prediction

This is a difficult one to predict. Both teams are performing horrendously. Their lack of two-way discipline is palpable, and such games are the trickiest to project. The Sky has a *slight* advantage inside the paint, but the Sun’s Tina Charles can negate that.

Backcourt-wise, Mabrey gives the Sun an edge, but Ariel Atkins can be lethal too. Overall, I see a close win for Sky.
