Collin Murray-Boyles, a standout forward from Columbia, South Carolina, emerged as a top talent at A.C. Flora High School, earning Class 4A Player of the Year honors as a junior. He averaged 18.3 points, 11.4 rebounds, 5.3 blocks and Flora to the state championship game, fully displaying his versatility as a scorer and as a great shot blocker. Transferring to Wasatch Academy in Utah for his senior year, Murray-Boyles continued to dominate as he averaged 15.0 points and 8.8 rebounds, leading his conference in rebounds while ranking third in scoring. He was a consensus four-star recruit and top-100 national prospect, who committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks, bringing his hometown pride to the SEC.

Despite a setback from infectious mononucleosis that sidelined him early in the 2023-24 season, Murray-Boyles quickly became a force for South Carolina. His breakout performances includes a 31-point game against Vanderbilt, which earned him SEC Freshman of the Week honors. By season’s end, his impact as a dynamic scorer and a rebounder landed him on the SEC All-Freshman team. Murray-Boyles’ has the athleticism, defensive tenacity, and the scoring ability which marks him as a rising star with the potential to flourish in the NBA as a two-way threat.
