After the Lynx rallied to tie the game late in the fourth quarter, Sabrina Ionescu launched a stunning three-pointer from the front of the logo with less than three seconds remaining.
Ionescu’s incredible triple-powered Liberty to an 80-77 victory and moves the Liberty within one win of their first title in franchise history.
Her incredible game-winning triple drew reactions from WNBA and NBA stars who praised Ionescu for her ice-cold shot.

NBA stars Kevin Durant and Luka Doncic also couldn’t keep their excitement and hailed the three-time WNBA All-Star guard for her insane game-winning basket.
“Cold blooded killer @sabrina_i20,” Durant wrote on X.
“What a shot”, Luka Doncic posted on X.
“I didn’t even really remember it. I had to go look at the video to see how far I was. But in the timeout, Sandy was just like, ‘You’re gonna shoot this shot.’ I was able to get some separation in range, and I let the shot go”, Ionescu told reporters after the game.
Ionescu finished the game with 13 points and six assists in a contest to help Liberty make a comeback from a 15-point deficit.
The Liberty will have a chance to win their first WNBA title when they play the Lynx in Game 4 on October 18.
