Clippers vs. Nuggets Game 6 Preview- Would LA Clippers Be Able To Push the Series To Decider?

Garima Ranawat

The Nuggets are leading their series against the Clippers 3-2.

The most exciting NBA Playoffs 2025 first-round series between the LA Clippers and the Denver Nuggets has reached Game 6. It will be the last time on Thursday, May 1, that the Clippers will host the Nuggets in the series at the Intuit Dome. While the Clippers would be hopeful to push it to the decider, the Nuggets, maintaining a 3-2 lead, would aim to close it with a win here.

LA Clippers Preview

The LA Clippers have emerged as one of the best teams in the last two months. After a 15-3 run in early March, the Clippers took down the Golden State Warriors in the regular season finale. In the playoffs, they suffered a narrow 112-110 loss in the first game but bounced back quickly to secure two back-to-back wins.

In the previous game, James Harden and Co. were heavily outscored by the Nuggets, who made full use of their home court advantage. Ivica Zubac was the Clippers’ highest scorer, who posted 27 points, five rebounds, and one assist. Kawhi Leonard scored 20 points, nine rebounds, and 11 assists while the rest of the squad failed miserably to score.

Denver Nuggets Preview

The Nuggets looked confident as they were on the back of a 101-99 win in Game 4, tying the series 2-2. In Game 5, Jamal Murray put on a brilliant show and scored 43 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists while Aaron Gordon poured in 23 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Nikola Jokic recorded yet another triple-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists.

The 2023 champions, who were kicked out of the playoffs in conference semifinals last season, would aim to make it to the Finals this time and win their second trophy. They would want to wrap things up as early as possible and avoid the extra pressure of a Game seven.
