Cleveland Cavaliers vs Minnesota Timberwolves Preview

The Cavaliers are serious about a title pursuit

The Cavaliers come into this game after a 10-point win against the league’s worst Washington Wizards as Donovan Mitchell amassed 33 points. It was their sixth win in seven games, flipping the switch on a three-game losing streak. The Cavs are an elite offensive team and have put up 122.4 points per game, nailing 16.2 triples per game(2nd) on an excellent 39.5% clip(1st). The addition of De’Andre Hunter makes them even more lethal from deep range, thus, the Cavs are on the right trajectory. However, their defense has been a bit lax at times, but that is mainly due to their shoot-out style of play.

The Timberwolves have recovered well

The Timberwolves enter the contest after a 16-point win over the Portland Trail Blazers as Jaden McDaniels poured in 30 points. It was their third win in a row and the team has now won 8 out of their last 10 games. They have now hurried to the West’s sixth spot, but the LA Clippers are right behind. However, there are promising signs. The injuries to Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo have been a blessing in disguise. Forwards Naz Reid and Jaden McDaniels are now getting more touches, and have elevated their offense. Meanwhile, their defense has been stellar as they have given up just 108 PPG(4th best).

Cleveland Cavaliers vs Minnesota Timberwolves– Final Prediction and Additional Information

The Cavaliers are one of the best teams in the league and De’Andre Hunter has further bolstered their offensive depth. Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have improved on the offensive end but for a game like this, they will need Anthony Edwards healthy(Game Time Decision). At any rate, I believe the Cavs will break the Wolves’ three-game winning streak and put up 120+ points.

Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
