Chicago Sky vs Las Vegas Aces WNBA Prediction & Best Bets- 08/25/2025

Shubham Singh

On Monday, August 25, the Chicago Sky (9-27) will host the Las Vegas Aces (24-14) in a WNBA regular-season game.

The Sky will enter the match after a disappointing 84-94 loss against the Connecticut Sun. Kamilla Cardoso scored 18, but the team committed 17 turnovers to lose in a familiar fashion.

They have now slipped to the second-worst position (12th).

On the other hand, the Aces dominated the Mystics 91-81. A’ja Wilson had another insane outing with 36 points and 13 rebounds.

The Aces have won ten in a row and have dramatically shot up to the third ranking.

Can the Aces dust off the Sky for their 11th straight win and earn the second position for now? Go through the predictions related to player props, total, and spread here.

Chicago Sky vs Las Vegas Aces Lineups, News, Form

Las Vegas Aces

The Aces are clicking on all cylinders. Wilson’s exploits have highlighted their stellar play. Their defense has improved considerably, and they look like title contenders now. Here are some facts about them:

  • The Aces have won five straight on the road.
  • Dana Evans has made at least 1 triple in four straight games.
  • Chelsea Grey has delivered 8 or more assists in four of the last five games.

Aces Expected Starting Lineup

PG: Chelsea Gray | SG: Jackie Young | SF: Kierstan Bell | PF/C: A’ja Wilson | PF/C: NaLyssa Smith

Key bench players: SG: Dana Evans, SG: Jewell Loyd

Injuries/Updates: Cheyenne Parker-Tyus is OUT for the game.

Chicago Sky

  • The Sky is 8-18 with Angel Reese (1-9 without her).
  • Kamilla Cardoso has dished 5 or more assists in four straight games.
  • Ariel Atkins has grabbed 5 or more rebounds in four straight games.

Sky Expected Starting Lineup

SG: Ariel Atkins | SG: Rachel Banham | SF: Michaela Onyenwere | PF: Angel Reese | C:  Kamilla Cardoso

Key bench players: C: Elizabeth Williams, SG: Kia Nurse, SG: Rebecca Allen, SG/SF: Sevgi Uzun.

Injuries/Updates: Courtney Vandersloot is OUT for the season.

Chicago Sky vs Las Vegas Aces Total Over/Under Prediction- WNBA Best Bets

The Sky is dysfunctional on both ends. They undesirably lead the league in turnovers (15.4 TOPG). The turnovers create easy opportunities for the opponents.

Chicago has given up 90 or more in four of the last six games. Their offense has improved since Reese’s return, as they have put up 84 or more in three straight games (season- 76 PPG, 12th).

On the other hand, the Aces’ offense has been on fire. They are scoring 85+ at a high rate. Meanwhile, the Wilson-led squad has the acumen to contain teams under 80 regularly.

I expect the total to be “Over” here.

Chicago Sky vs Las Vegas Aces Player Props Predictions- WNBA Betting Picks

Angel Reese O 11.5 Rebounds: Reese has been terrific in her three comeback games. She is averaging 12.2 RPG this season, but has not hit the mark since her return.

However, I see her doing that in this game.

A’ja Wilson O 23.5 Points: Wilson has been the best player this month. She is tallying 23.2 PPG, shooting 49.3% FG. She has scored a mind-boggling 27 or more in seven of the last nine games.

I see her scoring at least 24 here.

Jackie Young O 4.5 Assists: Young has been a remarkable playmaker. The Aces guard has dished out 5 assists, four out of the last five games.

I expect her to dish at least 5 assists here.

Main pick: Angel Reese O 11,5 Rebounds at BetMGM

Chicago Sky vs Las Vegas Aces Spread Prediction

The Aces are locked in on both ends. They are playing like the franchise that won two championships in a row. On the other hand, the Sky is awesome for a few bits but horrendous for most of the parts.

They really need to work on cutting down the unforced errors in the offseason and building a strong guard-to-wing rotation.

The Reese vs Wilson match-up will be wonderful, and Reese often locks her best against elite forwards. But I don’t think it will be enough to overcome the Aces. Still, I see the Sky covering the spread.
