Sky: A bizarre season

The Sky comes into this game after another disappointing 80-93 loss against the Atlanta Dream despite a 29-point performance by Ariel Atkins. The Sky had another terrible three-point shooting night, making just 4 out of 15 shots from deep.

Meanwhile, they allowed the Dream to make 16 out of 33 deep-range shots. The score was tied till the third quarter, but the Sky allowed Atlanta to score 24 and had just 11 in the final quarter. It was their third straight defeat and sixth loss in seven games.

Chicago has struggled across various metrics. Chicago allows 11.2 three-pointers per game (worst) and makes just 6.3/game(3rd worst). They have committed most turnovers (16.7/game) while allowing the 46.1% FG(Worst). This is indeed a recipe for disaster.

Los Angeles Sparks: Underwhelming returns for a decent roster

The Sparks enter the game after a disastrous 66-82 loss against the Minnesota Lynx. The team shot just 36.9% and allowed 53.6% FG. They just had a three-point deficit at the end of the third quarter. However, a 12-25(15 points by Kayla McBride) fourth quarter put the game away from them.

Overall, I see the two teams taking advantage of the defensive lapses early on but then fading away. Thus, the score will most likely be in mid-150s. I expect the score to go “Under” here.

Angel Reese O 12.5 rebounds: Reese is not having the best offensive season, but her rebounding work has been awesome. She is averaging 11.5 RPG, collecting 17 or more boards in two of the last three games. I believe she will clinch at least 13 here.

Kelsey Plum O 20.5 points: Plum has scored 20 or fewer points in three straight games, which is below her 20.5 PPG average this season. I expect her to recover and score at least 21 here.

Rachel Banham O 1.5 three-pointers: Banham has been receiving inconsistent minutes throughout the season. She has made 1.3 three-pointers per game this season, usually making just one, but I expect her to nail 2 here like last game.
