Can the Sky take care of a Caitlin Clark-less Fever? Check the predictions related to total, spread, and player props here.

Chicago Sky vs Indiana Fever Lineups, Sneak Peek

Chicago Sky: A clunky start again

The Sky comes into this game after stamping an 11-point win against the Dallas Wings (94-83) as Ariel Atkins put up a season-high 26 points. It was their second straight win, both against the Wings. Before that, they had lost four in a row.

The Sky’s defense has been their Achilles’ heel. They have conceded 92 points per game (Last), allowing teams to make 11.9 3 PM triples per game on a high 42.1% clip, both the worst performances in the league.

The biggest positive has been their league-best 81.2 Pace. However, they need to do better than scoring just 81.7 PPG (7th) when they adopt such a breakneck pace.

On the other hand, Angel Reese has shot horribly (10 PPG on 31.1% FG), which has stalled the team’s progress a lot.

Indiana Fever: Hangin’ tough without CC

The Fever comes into this game after a much-needed 9-point win (85-76) against the Washington Mystics. It helped them break a three-game losing streak. The Fever’s record doesn’t justify their depth. They have lost all their games by 6 or fewer points, three of them by just 1-2 points.

The Fever have been unable to close out games, and not having CC has disrupted their offensive rhythm. Thankfully, Kelsey Mitchell is showing signs of a return to form while the frontcourt of Natasha Howard and Aliyah Boston holds a lot of promise.

They are a terrific perimeter defensive team, allowing just 6.6 made threes per game (2nd) while holding teams to 29.9% (4th).

Sky Expected Starting Lineup

PG: Courtney Vandersloot | SG: Ariel Atkins | SG/SF: Kia Nurse | PF: Angel Reese | C: Kamila Cardoso

Key bench players: PG: Hailey Van Lith, PG: Rachel Banham SG: Rebecca Allen, SF: Damiris Dantas, C: Elizabeth Williams

Injuries/Updates: Kamila Cardoso is ‘Day-to-Day’.

Fever Expected Starting Lineup

SG: Laxie Hull | SG: Kelsey Mitchell | SG/SF: Sydney Colson | PF: Natasha Howard | C: Aliyah Boston

Key bench players: SF: DeWanna Bonner, SF: Sophie Cunningham, SF: Damiris Dantas.

Injuries/Updates: Caitlin Clark is OUT.

Chicago Sky vs Indiana Fever Total Over/Under Prediction- WNBA Best Bets

The Sky’s offense is clicking these days. They have scored 89 or more in three straight games. They have also conceded 90+ in five of the six games. On the other hand, the Fever has scored mostly in the 83-85 range while giving up around 85+ or so.

Overall, this promises to be a high-scoring game. Thus, the scoring range can go past 170 here.

Chicago Sky vs Indiana Fever Player Props Predictions- WNBA Betting Picks

Aliyah Boston Over 16.5 points: Boston is tallying 15.9 PPG for the season. She has scored 17 or more in four of the last six games. She had 19 during the last meeting against the Sky, and I expect her to replicate it.

Courtney Vandersloot Over 6.5 assists: Sloot has been in tremendous touch after a slow start. She has dished 7 or more assists in three straight games. I expect her to be in the 7-10 assists range here.

Lexie Hull to make O 1.5 three-pointers: Hull has knocked down 2 triples in four of the last five games. I believe the Fever guard will nail over 1.5 threes again.

Main pick: Points: Aliyah Boston Over 14.5 for -125 points at BetMGM

Chicago Sky vs Indiana Fever Prediction

The Fever served a 25-point beatdown during the last meeting between the two. But Indiana had their Floor General superstar Caitlin Clark back then. Now, the Sky has generated some rhythm after their twin wins and has more guard depth.

However, Chicago is yet to win against a strong opponent, and their scoring is a huge work in progress. Regardless of that, I expect them to get the business done on their home floor.
