Carolina Panthers Schedule for 2026-27 NFL Season – Panthers Strength of Schedule Analysis, Odds for Super Bowl 61, Conference Winner Odds, and Division Winner Odds

Devavrat Kulkarni

Carolina has a tough task in the 2026-27 season with top ten schedule ahead!

The 2025-26 NFL season was a massive turnaround for the Carolina Panthers. After finishing the previous season with a 5-12 record, the Panthers went on to win 8 games, topping the NFC South this season.

Head coach Dave Canales began his second season in charge, and quarterback Bryce Young started his third season in the league. The Panthers’ first-round pick, wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, provided Young and the Panthers’ offense a much-needed boost. McMillan went on to win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award after a spectacular season.

It was also their first time back in the postseason since the 2017 campaign. Although they didn’t get past the Wild Card round, the future looks promising, but more work needs to be done in order to keep their divisional rivals at bay.

Carolina Panthers Schedule for 2026-27 NFL Season

This time around, the Carolina Panthers, who are a part of the NFC, will get the chance to play 9 home games while traveling on the road for 8 away games as per the NFL’s rotation policy.

As per the standard procedure, the Panthers will play 6 games against their three divisional opponents. The NFC North will be the division that plays against the NFC South this year, and that will comprise 4 more games.

The Panthers’ intra-conference division for the 2026-27 regular season will be the AFC North, which will be another 4 games. Following that, Carolina will also have to play the division winners from the remaining NFC divisions, the NFC East and the NFC West, as well as the division winner of the AFC West, marking the end of their 17-game slate.

Panthers Strength of Schedule Analysis and Prediction for 2026-27 NFL Season

Strength of Schedule Analysis

The Carolina Panthers will have one of the toughest strength of schedules in the league next season, with sources indicating it as (.521). The Panthers’ schedule puts them on the edge of the top ten, making the upcoming 2026-27 NFL season a challenging one for Carolina.

The fact that the Panthers won the NFC South last season means they will have to face tougher opponents in the upcoming season. That being said, Carolina will play just 6 games against teams that made the playoffs in the recently concluded season. Those teams are the Bears, Seahawks, Broncos, Packers, Eagles, and Steelers.

However, apart from the Saints and the Browns, most of the other teams that Carolina will go up against had decent records, and that has made their schedule one of the toughest ones in the league.

Prediction

The Panthers and their head coach, Dave Canales, deserve a ton of credit for making the playoffs last season. And that is because this team still doesn’t look like it is a perennial postseason team.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers probably have the best roster in the division, but injuries to key players such as Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and others hampered their campaign. A healthier team should be able to take back the division crown again.

Furthermore, the Saints also played well down the stretch, and it looks like Kellen Moore has got the hang of things in New Orleans. Then the Falcons are also not too far behind, making this a tight division for the upcoming season.

The Panthers finished 27th in the league in scoring points, while their scoring defense was mid-tier, allowing 22.4 points per game.

Our Prediction: Panthers to miss the playoffs in the 2026-27 NFL season.

Carolina Panthers Super Bowl LXI Odds for 2026-27 Season

According to the latest Super Bowl odds on FanDuel, the Carolina Panthers are (+15000) to win Super Bowl 61 next season. As per these odds, the Panthers have one of the worst odds to lift the Lombardi Trophy next season.

As mentioned above, the Panthers made the postseason, but the team still looks far from being able to challenge for a title. Having defeated the Rams in the regular season, they came up short at home during the playoffs against the same team.

Bryce Young had his best year under center as a professional, and he was well supported by McMillan and Rico Dowdle, but even then, the offense needs to put up more points consistently in order to have better success.

Carolina Panthers Conference Winner Odds for 2026-27 Season

As for the odds to win the Conference, the Panthers are at (+7500), as per FanDuel. This currently puts the Panthers just three spots above the bottom in the AFC, with the Saints and Cardinals as the only teams with worse odds in the conference.

Over the past couple of seasons, the competition in the NFC has become far tougher. Teams such as the Seahawks, Rams, Lions, Bears, Packers, 49ers, and more are all in the hunt to contest for a Championship.

The Panthers do not belong to that group at present. Making it to the postseason is one thing, but progressing deeper into the playoffs is all the more difficult.

Carolina Panthers Division Winner Odds for 2026-27 Season

The Panthers’ odds to win the NFC West are set at (+425), as per DraftKings. Those odds place the Panthers dead last in the NFC South, which most likely is the result of their much tougher schedule.

Despite winning the division in the 2025-26 season, DraftKings has the Panthers in last place in the NFC South for the upcoming season. This division seems to be much closer, and the Panthers may even finish higher, but at this moment, it is hard to imagine them repeating as the NFC South champions again.

A couple of good signings through the draft, free agency, or trades could help them improve their roster further. The Panthers have shown improvement, but it is far from enough to reach the ultimate goal.
