Standing up to face the much-improved serve of Alcaraz, will be Sebastian Baez. The World No. 41 has won just three encounters in his past six tournaments – starting from Wimbledon. An unwanted combination of injuries and the lack of being able to keep up with the level of the men’s circuit, has resulted in the 24-year-old stooping to a miserly record of 16-19 so far.
