Arthur Fills has a 21-14 record on clay and won all three games on this surface in 2025.
The four-time Majors champion Carlos Alcaraz will take on the 20-year-old French sensation Arthur Fils in the quarterfinals of the Monte Carlo Masters 2025. Alcaraz knocked out No. 84 Daniel Altmaier in straight sets while Fils got the better of Andrey Rublev to reach the final eight. The winner earns a spot in the semi-finals to face either Alejandro Davidovich Fokina or Alexei Popyrin.
After receiving a bye into the second round, Alcaraz overcame the Francisco Cerundolo challenge in three sets. The second seed dropped only one game in the second round and four games in the R16. Alcaraz has won the ATP Rotterdam Open which remains the only title for him in 2025. With a 16-2 record over the past year on clay court, Alcaraz is seeking the maiden Monte Carlo Masters crown and starts as the favourite in the quarterfinals.
Arthur Fils has won three ATP Tour singles titles and is currently the No. 1 French player. The World No. 12 reached the quarterfinals at both ‘Sunshine Double’ events this year, only the third Frenchman to do so. This is the third consecutive quarterfinal appearance in ATP Masters 1000 for Arthur.
