Caitlin Clark Injury Update- What Happened to Caitlin Clark and How Long Will the Indiana Fever’s Star Be Out For?

Eric Divakaran

Caitlin Clark, in her second season with the Indiana Fever, has been a key player in the 2025 WNBA season for her team, leading the team’s offense with her scoring and playmaking. In the season opener against the Chicago Sky, Clark set the bar high for herself for this season, as she dropped 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, notching a triple-double in her first game coming into the season.

We witnessed a great battle against her rival Angel Reese, but Clark and the Fever dominated the Sky and the final score was 93-58. Going into her second game, Clark contributed 27 points, 11 assists, and 5 rebounds, but ended up losing the close game against the Atlanta Dream.

In a back-to-back game against the Dream, Clark scored 11 points, but her teammate Natasha Howard exploded for 26 points, which helped them seal the deal. And in the pivotal game against the WNBA’s reigning defending champions, the New York Liberty, Clark notched a double-double with 18 points and 10 assists, but ultimately that wasn’t enough as the Liberty walked away with a win.

The Fever have been playing great this season, but are 2-2 for the season so far. One thing they need to improve on, as per the small sample size that we have is, the Fever need to close out games better as they have struggled to take the lead, even while they were extremely close to winning the ball game.

Recently, a devastating news was announced about Caitlin Clark’s health, and here is what we know.

Caitlin Clark Stats This Season

Fever’s Star, Caitlin Clark, is currently averaging 19.0 points per game, 9.3 assists, and 6.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 40.3 percent from the field, and 31.4 percent from beyond-the-arc. Clark has upped her blocks numbers this season, going from 0.7 in 2024 to 1.0 blocks per game in the 2025 season. Clark’s free throw percentage has dropped this season, as she’s shooting 75.0 percent from the charity stripe.

Clark still has a lot she needs to improve on especially her turnovers, which has seen some improvement this season, but is still at a high 5.0 TOV per game. While the season has just started, Clark’s numbers are similar to what they were in her rookie season, and we wonder if she will take the next step towards superstardom this season.

I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
