Cincinnati Bengals vs New England Patriots Predictions, Odds, and Best Bets for Week 12 NFL 2025-26 Season

Eric Divakaran

The Cincinnati Bengals host the New England Patriots for Week 12 matchup. This Bengals vs Patriots matchup features a playoff bound team in Patriots going against a struggling Bengals squad, which could be a very lopsided contest.

The Bengals come into this matchup after a blowout loss to their divisional rival, the Steelers, last week, and things have only gotten worse for them. Going against the Patriots, which is already a tough task, Bengals’ star WR Ja’Marr Chase will not play as he’s serving a one-game suspension after spitting on Jalen Ramsey last week. While there were initial hopes of Joe Burrow making his return after being a full participant on practice, he has officially been ruled out, giving Joe Flacco his sixth start with Cincinnati. 3-7 for the season, whether Burrow returns or not, their season may already be out of hand as they sit dead last in their division.

Meanwhile, the Patriots are on the opposite end of the spectrum. They are arguably the hottest team in the NFL currently, raking up wins after wins and are now on a 8-game win streak. While many analysts and pundits are still not sure about Drake Maye being “that guy” for the Pats as he’s not yet made his playoff debut, New England surely looks like a dangerous team who are out to hunt heads. 9-2 for the season, the Patriots is the overwhelming favorites to pull off another win, which will push their win-streak to nine.

Analysis and Rationale

Chase Brown to have over 30.5 receiving yards is a good bet as he’s had three games over 30.5 receiving yards this season, with Joe Flacco and Zac Taylor utilizing his dual-threat ability. With Ja’Marr Chase out for the game, most of the load will fall on Brown and Tee Higgins, and looking at the Patriots’ 20th ranked pass defense allowing 223.6 yards, this is a great bet.

Drake Maye to have under 0.5 interceptions is a great bet as he’s been highly accurate with only 5 interceptions on 11 games so far. The Bengals are one of the worst defensive teams in terms of their pass defense ranking 31st and allowing 260.1 yards per game, which makes this a great bet to place.

Chase Brown under 15.5 rushing attempts is a great bet as we expect the Bengals and Zac Taylor to find more loopholes in the Pats’ pass defense, than take them head on by running the football. Since New England is the No.1 rush defense team in the NFL, allowing only 75.4 yards and 3 rush TDs, we highly doubt the Bengals to be reliant on Brown’s rushing skills and rather may use him as a pass target.

Bengals vs Patriots Prediction

We expect the New England Patriots to defeat the Cincinnati Bengals in a blowout. The Bengals are on a three-game losing streak, winning only one in their last 8 matchups. They were already struggling even with their star wideout JaMarr Chase and Tee Higgins. But now, not only is Joe Burrow ruled out for the game, Chase’s recent incident will also keep him out of the game, crippling the Bengals further. Going against arguably the hottest team in the NFL currently, the Bengals have very little chance to pull off a win.

Prediction: Patriots win the game 35-16

I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
