Gulshan Sharma

Atlanta Hawks have won only one NBA Championship which came in the 1957-58 season.

The Hawks franchise had a rich history of moving their team to different cities. From Buffalo Bisons in 1946, and the Milwaukee Hawks in 1951, to the St. Louis Hawks in 1955, they have gone a long route in choosing Atlanta as the final city. From winning a championship in 1968, the St Lucia Hawks played in the NBA Finals in 1957, 1960 and 1961. The St. Louis Hawks moved to Atlanta in 1958.

The Atlanta Hawks have the second-longest drought of not winning an NBA championship. The franchise’ all four NBA final appearances came when the team was based in St. Louis. Dikembe Mutombo was the face of the Hawks during the mid to late 90s. In the 2000s, they had ups and downs but later, improved in the NBA.
