Atlanta Falcons Next Head Coach Betting Odds and Favorites after Raheem Morris Firing

Devavrat Kulkarni

The Atlanta Falcons announced just hours after the conclusion of the 2025-26 NFL regular season, the firing of head coach Raheem Morris. After finishing yet another season with a losing record and missing the playoffs once again, Morris’ time in Atlanta came to an end.

The Falcons finished their second straight season under Morris with an identical 8-9 record, meaning in two seasons in charge of the team, Morris led the Falcons to a 16-18 record and missed the playoffs on both occasions.

The Falcons were expected to perform better than last season, especially given the talent on both sides of the ball; however, Atlanta underachieved once again. Now, with Morris getting the axe, here is a look at candidates with the best odds to replace him at the helm of the Falcons’ coaching staff.

Who Has the Top Odds To Be the Next Head Coach of the Atlanta Falcons?

After the Falcons wasted no time in relieving Raheem Morris from the head coaching position, there are quite a few candidates available for the vacancy in Atlanta. Here are the top odds for the Falcons’ next head coach hire, according to bookies.com.

Possible Raheem Morris replacements for the Atlanta Falcons

Looking at the odds for the next head coach hiring in Atlanta, the focus seems to be more on the offensive side of the ball, with as many as four current offensive coordinators in the mix. That could be understandable given the fact that Morris was a defensive-minded coach, and the Falcons may now look for a more offensive-minded approach heading into their next phase.

Klint Kubiak

Klint Kubiak has certainly become a top name in the league from an offensive production standpoint. The current Seahawks’ OC has helped the team rise from 18th in the league in points scored to third in the league this season. Kubiak has had great success with the likes of Brock Purdy, Kirk Cousins, and, more recently, Sam Darnold.

Mike LaFleur

Another OC that could get the nod in Atlanta is the Rams’ offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur. The Rams’ offense has been cooking, and Matthew Stafford is well on his way to winning the MVP this season. He has worked under the likes of top football minds such as Kyle Shanahan and is currently working under Sean McVay in Los Angeles.

Mike McCarthy

Mike McCarthy is a veteran who has had over 2 decades of head coaching experience. He is a Super Bowl-winning head coach who still has plenty to offer. McCarthy was let go by the Cowboys after the 2024 season, and he remains available after not signing with any other team during the 2025 season. His experience and winning mentality could be worth considering for the Falcons, especially since he has a healthy 174-122-2 record.

Kliff Kingsbury

The Washington Commanders’ OC Kliff Kingsbury is another option the Falcons can look to. The Commanders may have disappointed on many levels offensively this season, but let’s not forget what he was able to do with a rookie Jayden Daniels just one season ago. Kingsbury has also worked with Patrick Mahomes and Kyler Murray and has extensive experience.

The 46-year-old also has head coaching experience during his 4-year tenure with the Cardinals, although his 28-37-1 record is not something to boast about.

Joe Brady

Joe Brady has been the OC for the Buffalo Bills for the past two seasons. He has worked with a Bills’ offense that lacks extensive weapons, yet he has managed to get the best out of his roster. The work he has put in with quarterback Josh Allen is notable, as the Bills’ franchise QB is the reigning MVP and had yet another stellar showing in the 2025 season.

Kevin Stefanski

The Browns recently announced their decision to part ways with head coach Kevin Stefanski after 6 seasons in charge. Stefanski and the Browns finished 4th in the AFC North for the second season in a row and for the third time in his head coaching tenure. He has a 45-56 record with Cleveland, but he is also a 2-time NFL Coach of the Year. A change in scenery could see Stefanski achieve more success if the opportunity is right.

I am a content writer for the NFL team, and joined The Playoffs after working with Sportskeeda and NFL Analysis as an NFL writer. After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
