Aryna Sabalenka vs. Emma Raducanu Head-to-Head, Preview, Prediction, and Betting Odds for Cincinnati Open 2025 Round-3

Gulshan Sharma

World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka will lock horns against the British No. 1 Emma Raducanu in a highly-anticipated clash in the Cincinnati Open round of 32. The Belarusian ace made a stunning return in North American hard court swing with a straight-set victory over 2023 Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova. On the other hand, Raducanu dispatched Olga Danilovic 6-3, 6-2 to take a solid start in the 1000 Masters event.

Sabalenka is in her prime form and her defeats came at the final moments which can easily reflects her consistency. The world No. 1 won three titles in Brisbane, Miami and Madrid. Sabalenka made into the finals at Australian Open and Roland Garros. She had a semifinal run in the Wimbledon. She took a break between Wimbledon and Cincinnati which helped her to gain fitness. Before arriving in Ohio, she had 197 aces, a 67.8% first-serve win rate, 46.9% of return points captured, and a 47% break-point conversion rate across 56 matches.

Emma Raducanu failed to retain the consistency after becoming the British No. 1. The 22-year-old won the US Open title four years back where she became the first qualifier to win a singles Grand Slam in the Open Era. This year, the British ace reached the quarterfinals in Miami and Queen’s Club. Raducanu overcame Marta Kostyuk and Naomi Osaka to reach the semifinals at the American capital but had a third-round exit in Montreal. Raducanu troubled Sabalenka when they last met in the Wimbledon this year so it should be a matchup of the day.

Aryna Sabalenka vs. Emma Raducanu Head to Head Record

Aryna Sabalenka holds a 2-0 lead over Emma Raducanu in their head-to-head. Their first meeting came last year at Indian Wells, where the Belarusian powered through in straight sets. As they met again for the Wimbledon third round, the British No. 1 fought hard but couldn’t cross the line.

Aryna Sabalenka vs. Emma Raducanu 2025 Cincinnati Open Prediction

Sabalenka is a consistent performer and she hardly struggles in the initial matches. She owns the hard court as she won the Australian Open and US Open last year. This year, she reached the final in Australian Open again. The world No. 1 has all the weapon to counter Raducanu and she gave a short glimpse in Wimbledon last month. Raducanu was impressive in last meeting with Sabalenka and this is an ideal stage to give it one more shot. Their previous two meetings came on grass so hard-court would be interesting.

Prediction: Aryna Sabalenka to win in straight sets.
